About Us

As an advocate for Cannabis and its multiple positive uses, when I first heard about CBD I was excited at its potential and how I could use it. My general wellness wasn’t brilliant and after doing my own research I found that it was something that aligned with what I wanted from myself day to day.

However, with the lack of certainty about the product and information saying contrasting things it took me a while to make the leap of faith and actually try some for myself. Initially the results were a quick spike, then no noticeable effects. But the initial spike was enough for me to try again but maybe a different brand. This happened a number of times, with the spikes ranging in terms of effect and time.

I thought CBD was CBD and it didn’t really matter as long as you had some in your system. More researching found that with the whole grey area of the market at the moment, companies are attempting to cash in on this “green rush” and the promises they make and the percentage on the bottle may not be the truth.

This annoyed me because I saw that people who may not be as welcoming to Cannabis and its potential good could quickly dismiss it, talk about the lies that these companies were portraying as truths, how it didn’t effect them, or if it did didn’t fix anything like it was suggested and then never try it again because of one bad experience.

This had the potential to be a problem, so when an opportunity came about to go visit a cannabis farm in spain, where there sole intention is to create the best product on the market (not most expensive/not most profitable/not the one with the most insta followers or the biggest brand. The best thats it), I had to go and see for myself. I asked for some samples of the product so I could see how different it was and my experience was amazing. It tasted different, there wasn’t a spike, more of a gradual and consistent transition, the percentage was weaker (I thought that the higher percentage was better but it turns out not necessarily the case).

I was excited about how it was so different to the others and more excited that I could physically see where it was grown, touch and smell the plant and speak to very experienced farmers who seemed to me more like scientists not stoners. I asked questions, they were answered. Then had hundreds more questions to follow, which I think is always a good sign in a conversation.

When I came back I thought about how good it would be if more people were open to having the same type of conversation as I had when I visited the farm. The type of conversation where your brain lights up because everything thats being said either confuses you, amazes you or combines the two. In my life I can count on both my hands the amounts of times Ive had those types of conversations and to be honest with you it upset me a bit. What was curious about it however was the fact that more than half of those conversations happened when I was including some form of cannabis product in my day to day life. I had a lightbulb moment.

I want to be able to have these types of conversations in my life more and be able to find people to have them with. Drop was created for the sole purpose of me spreading a message to those who were open to receive it and also give those who aren’t, the opportunity to learn more. Going through lockdown made me realise that you never know whats going to happen and things can change incredibly quickly with no going back, so its important to fill your time with things that are important to you.

For me, thats having conversations where I can learn something and not have it turn into picking sides at something. To be able to surround myself with people who care about what they consume in their life, this includes more than the obvious food/drink but ideas, friendships and opportunities as well. To pick apart false news and miseducation by asking the right questions and not just accepting it because someone loud has said it first. For people who know that you deserve to look after your mind, body and soul, and actively do that as much as you possibly can.

This is what id like my life to include more of and hopefully, with your help, I can get there. One drop at a time. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
